One of the more popular questions a lot of people ask about Jesus Christ, ‘Is Jesus really the Son of God? And if so, how?  You have heard me and a lot of other people say, that Jesus is the Son of God! But how is He?

I will prove that Jesus is the Son of God, for there are many skeptics, cynics, mockers, scoffers and the ignorant in these last days. But there’s also the curious who asks this simple, yet complicated question. Well my friend, look no further.

One day all of us will meet God face to face. Some to eternal Life in Christ and other’s in the final judgment unto eternal damnation because of their rejection of Jesus Christ on earth. In order to receive eternal life we must meet Him now in order to make a decision unto salvation before it’s too late.

You have heard us proclaim that Jesus is the Son of God. How is a man named Jesus, the Son of God? Did He earn His divinity through doing good works, or being good? No, Certainly not! Jesus was with God the Father in the beginning. He has been the Son of God all along. He was not created by God Himself, but have existed with God His Father, even before the creation of the world

Genesis 1:1-4 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

The word God here in the Hebrew is Elohim, Elohim is referring to the Holy Trinity.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

The Spirit of God (The Holy Spirit) appears, then God suddenly appears and then the light also suddenly appears that divides darkness. The Scriptures did not say, ‘light divided the night.’ or ‘God divided the light from the night.’ It clearly says, God divided the light from the darkness.’

So this is not referring to the light from the sun, moon and stars, since those were created on the 4th day in Genesis 1:14-19, not on the first day. The Apostle John points back to the Light in the beginning, being Jesus Christ in:

John 1:1-9 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (Referring to Jesus Christ in John 1:14). The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him (Jesus Christ); and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through Him might believe. He (meaning John the Baptist) was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

The Apostle John Tesifies that the Lord Jesus Christ is not only in the beginning before creation, and was with God in the beginning of creation, but Jesus Christ is that Light, the true Light of men pointing back to Genesis 1:3-4. Thus Colssians 1:16-17 concludes that Jesus Christ created and was with the Father in Creation, just as the Apostle John testifies in verse 3.

Colossians 1:16-17 For by Him (Jesus Christ) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

Therefore Jesus Christ and the Father created humankind through Adam and Eve, Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, in Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.

‘Let Us make man?’ The word, ‘Us,’  is emphasized here. Was God talking to Himself? Certainly Not! God was proclaiming to all the heavenly host, His Son and His Holy Spirit, that He and Jesus Christ are about to create the first man, Adam. Now then Adam and Eve was then created.

And had only one command, that God The Father had given them. Adam and Eve deliberately sinned that one command against God. And brought forth this first Bible prophesy, where God was speaking directly to the devil in

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you (referring to the devil) and the woman (the virgin Mary), and between your seed and her Seed; He (Jesus Christ) shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

There are a lot of revelation in just this passage of Scripture alone. But we will only stay focused on the prophesy of the birth of Jesus Christ. Now wait a minute, ‘between your seed (referring again to the devil) and her Seed?’

Biologically, a woman cannot produce seed, but eggs only. The man produces seed. And of course, when they get together, preferably through marriage, the man fertilizes the egg in a woman and therefore conception happens and life then begins.

Outside of this God given order, God created law is simply a freak of nature, a birth defect not ordained by God. For God cannot make mistakes, and He does not!

So what God Almighty was telling us all in the very beginning, is that He knew that man would sin. For He seen the end before He created a beginning. And with that, He already had a plan to redeem man through Jesus Christ, from the wages and penalty of our sins, as it is written:

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So this brings us to this next point: In order for Jesus Christ to redeem man from our sins, He literally had to deny His thrown in Heaven to become the likeness of men, to be tempted in all points of temptations, yet without sin. Therefore He came into this world by the virgin birth in the flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit

The Birth of Jesus Christ

Matthew 1:18-23 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with Child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: (Isaiah 7:14) The virgin will be with Child and will give birth to a Son, and they will call Him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us.”

The Hebrew name for the Greek word Jesus, is Jeshua (Yesh-oo-uh) which means simply: ‘The Lord Is Salvation.’ and the Greek name Christ is the Hebrew word Ha’Mashiach which mean’s, ‘Savior of the world.’

This is why it is written, Jesus is the Christ, because He will save His people from their sins.” ‘This is also the reason why God Himself appointed one of His holy angels to tell Joseph to name the Child Jesus (Yeshua)

Matthew 1:24-25 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a Son. And he gave Him the name Jesus.

This is Jesus the Son of God. He did not earn His divinity. He was already divine from the very beginning and through the sign of the virgin birth. This virgin birth through Mary, makes Jesus: 100% man. For He was born into this word by the virgin birth into flesh; that you and I all have, but conceived through the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit planted a seed in place of a physical earthly human being, into Mary. That Makes Jesus Christ: 100% divine. The revelation of DNA as we know it today, tells us that the mother provides the physical body, while the father provides the blood of the conceived child.

Since Jesus Christ was born through Mary, He has a physical body of a man. And since He was conceived by the Holy Spirit (God’s literal soul), therefore, Jesus Christ literally has the blood of God running through His veins at the time of conception. Which proves Jesus is The Son of God through this equation.

Still not convinced? Let’s read on.

Isaiah 9:6-7 For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given (given to sacrifice), and the government will be on His shoulders.

The government will be on His shoulders,” is referring to the end starting in Revelation 19:11 (The Second Coming of Jesus Christ) on through to Revelation 20:1-4 (the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ on earth and through eternity). This also proves Jesus Christ’s resurrection. For God cannot give a dead person a government as we read on,

And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over His kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.”

This is promised. And that promise has already started to be fulfilled through the birth of Jesus Christ, The Son of God. And humanity is accelerating rapidly forward to the end to completely fulfill this entire prophesy.

Gift’s of The Wise Men Proves Jesus Christ’s Deity And Purpose

Then you have the wise men’s gifts, which proves further that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and proves further what His purpose is on this earth to begin with. You see the gifts the wise men gave, were symbolic to who Jesus Christ is and what He is to do.

This is why these men were called “wise men.” They believed the prophesies of the Old Testament about the Christ; the Messiah to come. And they recognized Him as the baby in the manger

Matthew 2:11 On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him (Jesus Christ). Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and of incense (Frankincense) and of myrrh.

The gift of gold is very unusual. Everyone born in those days did not get gold. Gold is a gift for kings. So this gift is testifying that Jesus Christ is the King of all kings. And Lord of all lords.

Revelation 19:16 On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Frankincense was the second gift given to Jesus Christ when He was born. Frankincense was one of the ingredients for anointing oils in sacrificial offerings; found in Leviticus 2:1. As a fumigant during animal sacrifices found in Exodus 30:7. So this prophesies about the purpose of Jesus Christ’s death.

And lastly the gift of myrrh. Myrrh was used to embalm the dead. As well as many other usages, (according to the “Nelson’s Illustrated Dictionary of the Bible.)

Also what needs to be pointed, a baby has no power to fulfill Bible prophesies, can we all agree with that. And when we look deeper into all this, we see parallels that are not by chance, nor by coincidence.

We can rule out coincidence, because coincidence is an accidental occurrence according to the Webster’s New World Dictionary). It states carefully: Coincidence: ‘A coinciding; an accidental, but seemingly planned, occurrence of events, ideas and etc. at the same time.’

Jesus Christ’s Birth Is The Fulfillment of Prophesies of The Old Testament

All these events that are described in the Old Testament, were written roughly 5 hundred years ago or longer, prior to His birth. His birth is not accidental but planned by God from the beginning. God saw the end before the beginning. He saw the desperate need to redeem man from the penalty and death from sin.

To provide reconciliation between man and God. For God yearns to have a deep and personal relationship with His creation, and sin has not only condemned man to death, but it also separated us from having fellowship/communion with God

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, That whoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have eternal life.

God The Father prepared all this ahead of time. It didn’t take place by chance, happen stance, accidental occurrences or by coincidence. Anyone who believes that is simply ignorant. For they have not looked into these matters for themselves. Instead, they listen to what others say who do not know the truth.

You see, the Gospel message of Jesus Christ is the wonder that should cause people to wonder in every generation, to look into these matters for themselves. While salvation is the miracle and cure. The Old Testament Bible prophesies further describes details of Jesus Christ birth.

Micah 5:2-4 But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for Me One who will be Ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.

Which is saying that Jesus Christ who was from ancient times (Genesis 1:1-5) will come from Bethlehem. Born from among a family in Judah, which is important. Why? In verse 4 tells us why

He will stand and shepherd His flock in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD His God.

Well the Holy Word of God proves this prophesy to be true about the Lord Jesus. Found in Matthew 2:3-6 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born.

“In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd My people Israel.”

The Jewish chief priests and teachers of the law says, “The Christ is to be born in Bethlehem in Judah” when asked by King Herod. Which obviously states the fact that people herd and was waiting for the prophesied Messiah to come.

King Herod at that time, who governed Jerusalem under Caesar of Rome, was plotting to kill the Messiah, for many spiritual and political reasons.

In Luke 2:1-3 gives a more in depth account of Christ’s Birth: In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.

This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria. This tidbit of information, gives us a clear time line in human history, when the birth of Jesus Christ actually took place, for all those history buffs in the world.

And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a Child.

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her Firstborn, a Son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”

So they went down to Bethlehem to register in this forced census. At that time Marry gave birth to Jesus, the Son of God. So that is how this Old Testament prophesy came to pass.

So how did Joeseph, Mary and Jesus end up in Egypt? in Matthew 2:13-18 tells us the account. king Herod was in pursuit to kill Jesus Christ, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him to take Mary and Jesus, down to Egypt. This fulfills the Old Testament prophesy found in:

Hosea 11:1 When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called My Son.

This is not by coincidence, nor by chance. This is all done by the sovereignty and design of God, Jesus Christ’s Father…To be continued The undeniable Truth of Jesus’ Life And Death
