In the past studies, The Holy Spirit ministered the simple and yet, endless truth of the Gospel message of salvation, which is the Biblical Doctrine of justification. Justification: comes from the Latin word Justusfacere. Justus = Just + facere =to do, which is defined, ‘To free from blame or guilt. To supply grounds for justification’ (according to the Webster’s New World Dictionary). Jesus had not only supplied the grounds to be justified, but has justified many of those who believe. Jesus Christ has freed us sinners from past sins and guilt. God had wipe the slate clean from everything that was against us and gave us a way of an escape from God’s wrath and judgment.

John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (salvation). For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Jesus Christ’s first coming which has already came to pass 2000 years ago. The Son of God, born of the virgin birth in the flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit. Died on the cross for the remission for sins of many to appease the penalty of our sins. Raised from the death to give those who believe, salvation from eternal Hell-fire and damnation. Thus Christians are now the righteousness of God, by faith and by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and no longer sinners in the eyes of God,

Romans 4:21-26 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Therefore: John 8:31-36 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Then we dealt indirectly with the Biblical Doctrine of Sanctification. Sanctification: ‘To set apart as Holy; consecrated; to make free from sin’ (according to the: Webster’s New World Dictionary). God our Father has now called all the righteous in Jesus Christ into the sanctification process. Which is literally a life-long process under the orchestration of God The Father and of His Holy Spirit.

By the help of the Holy Spirit, He teaches and helps us to live in accordance to the holy standards of God, according to His Holy Bible, and through His Commandments. Sanctification is dealing with the obedience factor as we learn God’s standards of living through His Holy Bible and His commandments. Salvation does not stop at justification. The life long journey starts at justification, bringing us into the journey or process of sanctification and ends in glorification.

I will touch base on glorification in a moment, but first, the sanctification process is God our Father’s way of teaching us what is right vs. wrong according to His Holy Bible. Righteous vs. unrighteous way of living under His standards. Showing us what holiness is vs. wickedness. God teaches His children all His ways. He also disciplines, admonishes and equips His children for every good work, teaching us what He expects of us as we grow and mature in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Glorification is the end result, the harvest of God if you will. When a believer and follower of Jesus Christ not only walks in accordance to the Holy Bible, but also keep this faith in the Lord. Glorification is being absolutely perfect in every way. This only happens in Heaven, Nobody will reach glorification on earth, we can only pursue a degree of glorification which is maturity in Jesus Christ through the sanctification process. Why? The answer is clearly found in:

Philippians 3:7-16 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind;

what kind of mind is the Apostle Paul talking about here. He’s talking about having the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:6-16), that we know the mysteries of holiness, The absolute truth of the Holy Bible. Having a persistent attitude in pressing on and forward in Christ no matter what. And  we do not lose heart or give up. He continues on to say,

and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.

The Apostle Paul openly admitted, that even he, “the super saint Apostle” had not obtained glorification on earth. If he hadn’t, nobody will. Because that is reserved when God calls us Home to be with Him either in the day of the rapture, or in physical death. Whatever comes first for the saints of God.

The Birth of Hope For A Hopeless Generation Ministries

This series the Holy Spirit entitles: “Making Disciples,” is a series God has called me to, through a prophetic utterance, spoken by God through a guest prophet at my local church on Aug 21st (which was a Sunday morning) of 2005. I wrote this down in my personal journal as soon as I got back to my chair. And God said “You will reach thousands of soul, through the creative anointing.” (she then anointed my head, hands and feet. And then continued to prophesy).

Then Sunday night she told me as I was getting up to go home, due to the fact that I have to work the next morning, and it was already 11:30pm, close to midnight and some odd minutes. She looked at me with an urgency, pointing at me saying, “God says, Go into all the world, preach this Gospel of salvation and make disciples! You will go into dark places reaching the Nations!”

In February 2006, the Lord’s ministry “Hope For A Hopeless Generation” was born. I had totally long forgotten about that prophesy until recently when I was going through some study notes and came across my personal journal. The Lord then had reminded me that He brought to pass what He prophesied. And still is bringing it to pass, through His orchestration. I’ve been working on this study with the Holy Spirit for about a year and a half now. So I’ve preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the years (the first half of Gods promise). And through the further orchestration of His Holy Spirit, will complete the other half of the prophesy “Making Disciples.”

And this study series is to remind not only myself, but those who have been in this walk in the Lord for awhile now. To closely examine what we believe and why we believe it. And to make sure we are living and walking rightly in the sight of God through what the Holy Bible teaches and commands. It is also designed to teach new converts the Word and will of God, who don’t know where to go from here.

And this series of studies is also to teach and encourage those who have called themselves a “Christian” and have not gone any further than justification. There is more to Christianity than being justified. It’s about being reconciled to God, to have a real, tangible relationship with God through Jesus Christ our Lord and of His Holy Spirit, in order to evangelize sinners to repentance. I personally encourage you to take on this real journey with God, because it starts at being justified.

The Call To Discipleship

All Christians are called to be Jesus Christ’s’ disciples and ambassadors through His relationship He has established with us. Disciple: “A student of the teacher or master.” In this case we are students of Jesus Christ, who is our Teacher and Lord, as well as our Master Teacher Messiah. In this studentship, we are to align ourselves with the true Theology of God and God’s Word in order to have a deeper relationship with Him.

In order to have a real relationship with God, you must get to know Him through:
A). Personal experiences with God Himself,
B). Through the Word of God.

The word, “Theology” seems to have a bland, boring and dry as toast religious connotation to it. But that’s absolutely not true. The word “Theology” broken down into it’s Greek morphemes, gives us it’s clear meaning. It comes from the Greek word Theo-logos. Where we get our English word “theology” from. Theo = God log = written word y = study of. Which simply means: ‘the study of God, the study of God’s written Word. And this is ultimately the goal of the Holy Spirit. To teach us about God as we study His Word (John 16:5-15). We need to know who God really is vs. blind religious beliefs about God. And to study His Word in order to be strengthened. To be corrected and to be disciplined,

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Get Ready, Jesus Christ Is Coming

And the final point of the “Making Disciples” series is to: help and encourage each other to get ready for the Lord’s return. He is coming for a victorious bride with spot, wrinkle, or any such blemish. A bride who is has readied herself for the appearance of her bridegroom,

Matthew 25:1-13 Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’

Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

And He’s coming for those who are clean, Revelation 22:12-15 And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Blessed are those who do His commandments,

In another translation it say’s: “Blessed are those who washes their robes” meaning to repent from sin and turn to the living God and do what He commands in His Holy Bible from the heart

that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

He’s coming for those who has kept His Word, who has not denied the faith, who kept the love of the Lord in their hearts by keeping His sacred commandments,

John 14:15-36 If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.

At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

This is why The Lord Jesus Christ had made a point to warn not only His disciples at the time, but His disciple today to get ready and to be ready at all cost, for He is coming at an hour no one expects!

Mark 13:5-31 Jesus said to them: Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains. “You must be on your guard.

You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of Me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them. And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. Everyone will hate you because of Me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. But in those days, following that distress, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

The Lord Jesus is revealing here, the meaning of what has already been prophesied hundreds of years prior to His saying, found in Isaiah 13:10 & 34:4. The Book of Revelation also confirms this event Jesus Christ revealed to John after His death, resurrection and ascension in Revelation 6:12-14. Next is the warning to the Jews in the great tribulation period that is to come upon the whole earth

When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong—(Which is the idol, a statue, or monument of the antichrist) let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down or enter the house to take anything out. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!

Pray that this will not take place in winter, because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now—and never to be equaled again. “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time. “At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And He will send His angels and gather His elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.

Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’

So Jesus has mentioned “be on your guard,” “be alert,” “keep watch” 7 times in this chapter alone. He is coming in a day and hour unexpectedly, like in the days of Noah as the Lord Jesus has specifically described in:

Matthew 24:36-41 But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

In the Book of Genesis chapters 6-9 It gives us a detailed account how God spoke specifically to Noah, that He will flood the earth in judgment for sins, and commanded Noah to build an ark in the middle of desert where he was living. God was telling Noah and his family to get ready, for the day of judgment is at hand. I’m sure people mocked all the way to the day of global judgment. This is the same thing happening today:

The Gospel Message of Jesus Christ and the Holy Word of God is being preached. But many are mocking God and His truth. Calling the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of the cross foolishness. And many continue to reject God’s warnings, and as the Book of Revelation then concludes, they will continue to do so to the very end, just as the Lord Jesus Christ has described.

So as people then, kept on living for self, in selfish indulgences such as eating and drinking, and marrying without giving second thought to the possibility of judgment from God and the end of the world described therein the Book of Revelation, is in the same way happening today. So how do we get ready and stay ready? Our first study in the “Making Disciples” series is: getting our priorities straight and aligned with God as our first step. Until Next time, may God bless you, your families and your friends.
