In the Past studies, The Holy Spirit ministered the simple and yet, endless truth of the Gospel message of Salvation, which is the Biblical Doctrine of justification.

Justification: comes from the Latin word Justusfacere. Justus = Just + facere =to do, which is defined in Theology: ‘To free from blame or guilt. To supply grounds for justification.’ According to the: Webster’s New World Dictionary. Jesus had not only supplied humanity the grounds to be justified, but has justified, meaning: Jesus The Christ has freed us sinners from past sins and the guilt of those past sins. Another word’s God had wipe the slate clean that which was against us. He gave us, who are chosen by God, a way of an escape from His wrath and judgment, only to those who believe in Christ Jesus as The Son of God; Savior: Messiah Found in:

John 3:16-18

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (Salvation) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. ( His first coming which has already passed 2000 years ago as a babe. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born by the virgin birth in the flesh. Grown into a man in bodily form. To die in our place to appease the penalty of our sins, which is physical and spiritually eternal death.) “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Romans 4:21-26

God’s Righteousness Through Faith

“But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”

So therefore:

John 8:31-36

The Truth Shall Make You Free

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

You see. He did this by first living this life sinless:

Hebrews 4:14-16

Our Compassionate High Priest

“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

*He did this through His death on the cross Matthew 27:32-66.

*Resurrected from the dead in bodily form in the flesh Matthew 28:1-20

*And ascended into Heaven in bodily form, and now sit alive at the right hand of God Acts 1:1-11 & Acts 7:55

Through Christ Jesus, we are justified by faith and through His Blood that was shed on the Cross which in turn makes us righteous in the sight of God Almighty The Father. And for the remission of our sins. And reconciling us to God. Jesus being our Mediator had done this.

Then we dealt indirectly with the Biblical Doctrine of sanctification.

Sanctification:

‘To set apart as Holy; consecrated; to make free from sin.’ (According to the: Webster’s New World Dictionary.) Which God our Father has now called all the saints in Christ Jesus, once justified. Once we receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, we now are in the sanctification process. Which is literally a life-long process under the orchestration of God The Father, God The Son through God the Holy Spirit. (We will be getting into a more in depth study of the difference between the “Baptism” and “In-filling” of the Holy Spirit of God later on. Also we will get more in depth in the study of the Holy Spirit Himself, just to let you know what’s coming up ahead.)

By The help of the Holy Spirit, He teaches and helps us to live in accordance to the Standards of God, according to His Holy Word, and through His Commandments. (Which we also will study, the importance of the teachings of Jesus’ Commandments.) So we dealt indirectly about sanctification in past studies such as: “Can You Lose Salvation parts 1-3.”

1). Can You Lose Salvation?

2). Can You Lose Salvation? (part 2)

3). Can You Lose Salvation? (part3)

Sanctification is dealing with the obedience factor of God’s standards of living through His Holy Word and Commandments. Because the relationship we have with God is progressive. Salvation does not stop at justification. The life long journey, how ever long life is in the hands Of God will be to each individual. This journey starts at justification. Bringing us into the journey or process of Sanctification. And ends in Glorification. Remember that. I will touch base on glorification in a moment, but first. The Sanctification process, another words, is God Almighty our Father’s way of teaching us what is right vs. wrong. Righteous vs. unrighteous way of living under His standards, like earthly parents to their children. God Teaching, disciplining, admonishing and Equipping, Etc. Another words, teaching what He expects of us.

This series the Holy Spirit entitles: “Making Disciples,” is a series God has called me to, through a prophetic utterance, spoken by God through a guest prophetess at my local church in Aug 21st which was a Sunday morning in 2005. I wrote this down in my personal journal soon as I got back to my chair. And God said “You will reach thousands of soul, through the creative anointing.” (she then anointed my head, hands and feet. And then continued.) “(Then Sunday night she told me as I was getting up to go home, due to the fact that I have to work the next morning, and it was already 11:30, close to midnight and some odd minutes. She looked at me with fierce urgency, pointing at me,) “God says, “Go into all the world, preach this Gospel of Salvation and Make Disciples!” You will go into dark places reaching the Nations!”

And thus in February 2006 the Lord’s ministry “Hope For A Hopeless Generation” was born. I had totally long forgotten about that prophesy until recently when I was going through some study notes and came across my personal journal. The Lord then had reminded me that He brought to pass what He prophesied. And still is bringing it to pass, through His orchestration. I’ve been working on this study with the Holy Spirit for about a year and a half now. So I already have ministered the first half of Gods promise. And through the further orchestration of His Holy Spirit, will complete the other half of the prophesy “Making Disciples.”

And this study series is to remind not only myself, but those who have been in this walk in the Lord for awhile now. To closely examine what we believe and why we believe it. And to make sure we are living and walking rightly in the sight of God through what the Holy Word of God commands. To teach and ecourage, through the Word of God, The will of God, to those who may have just given their hearts and lives to Christ Jesus recently and don’t know where to go from here. And this study is also to teach and encourage those who have called themselves a “Christian” and have not gone any further than justification. I speak to those people. “There is more to Christianity than justification. And it’s called a real, tangible, relationship with God through Christ Jesus our Lord. I personally encourage you to take on this real journey with God. Because it starts with Justification. And there is much more beyond that in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The Call Of Discipleship

Now as Christians, we are called to be Christ Jesus’ disciples through His relationship He has established with us. Disciple: simply means “A student of the teacher or master.” In this case we are students of The Lord Jesus, who is our Teacher and Master, as well as our Master Teacher Messiah. In this studentship, we are to align ourselves with the true Theology of God and God’s Word in order to have a deeper relationship with Him. Lets back track here for a moment:

In order to have a relationship with God, you must get to know God, and that’s through: A). A personal experience with God Himself, through whatever you maybe going through, either in the good times as well as the rough trying times. And, B).Through the Word of God. The word, “Theology” seems to have a bland, boring, dry as toast, as well as a religious connotation to it. But that’s absolutely not true. The word Theology broken down into it’s Greek morphemes, gives us it’s clear meaning. It comes from the Greek word Theo-logos. Where we get our English word “theology” from. Theo = God log = written word y = study of. Which simply means: ‘the study of God. The study of God’s written Word. And this is ultimately the goal of God the Holy Spirit. To teach us about God as we study His Word, according to John 16:5-15. Who God really is vs. blind religious beliefs about God. And to study His Word in order to be strengthened. To be corrected and to discipline us. To encourage and equip us according to:

2 Timothy 3:16-17

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, (God’s teachings) for reproof, (God’s way of rebuke/ scolding) for correction, (God’s way of change to correct mistakes. Punishment to correct faults) for instruction in righteousness, (to educate and to learn how to be in right standing with God) that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Now I told you that we would be getting to glorification in a moment. So Now glorification is the end result, the harvest of God, if you will. When a believer and follower of Christ Jesus not only walks in accordance to the Holy Word of God, but also keep this faith in Christ Jesus the Son of God. Glorification is being absolutely perfect in every way. Or one who reaches absolute perfection in every way. This only happens in Heaven. Nobody ever, nor will anyone ever on the face of the whole earth reach glorification on earth. Why? The answer is clearly found in:

Philippians 3:7-16

“But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Pressing Toward the Goal

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; (what kind of mind is the Apostle Paul talking about here. He’s talking about non other than having persistent attitudes in pressing on and forward in Christ Jesus no matter what. That we do not lose heart or give up. He continues on to say) and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.”

The apostle Paul openly admitted, that even he, “the super saint Apostle” had not obtained glorification on earth. If he hadn’t, nobody will. Because that is reserved when God calls us Home to be with Him either in the day of the rapture, or in physical death. Whatever comes first for the saints of God.

And the final point of the “Making Disciples” series is to: help and encourage each other to get ready for the Lord’s return. He is returning for those who are ready according to :

Matthew 25:1-13

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
“Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.”

And He’s coming for those who are clean:

Revelation 22:12-15

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Blessed are those who do His commandments, ( or in other translations: “Blessed are those who washes their robes” meaning to repent from sin and turn to the Living God and do what He commands in His Living Word) “that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.”

He’s coming for those who has kept His Word, who has kept the love of the Lord in their hearts by keeping His sacred commandments:

John 14:15-26

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”

This is why The Lord Jesus The Christ had made a point to warn not only His disciples at the time, but His disciple today to get ready. To be ready!

Mark 13:5-31

“Jesus said to them: Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains. “You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of Me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them. And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. Everyone will hate you because of Me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. “But in those days, following that distress,

“‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ (Which Christ Jesus is quoting Isaiah13:10 & 34:4 which the Book of Revelation gives the same wittness in Revelation 6:12-14.)

Signs Of The End

“When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong—(Which is the idol, or statue, monument of the antichrist) let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down or enter the house to take anything out. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that this will not take place in winter, because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now—and never to be equaled again. “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time. “At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And He will send His angels and gather His elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.”

We see some of the signs of His return today, but He is coming on a day and hour no one knows according to:

Mark 13:32-36

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. “Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”

So Jesus has mentioned “to be on your guard,” “be alert,” keep watch” 7 times in one chapter. He is coming in a day and hour unexpectedly, Like in the days of Noah as Lord Jesus has specifically described in:

Matthew 24:36-41

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.”

In the book of Genesis chapters 6-9. It gives us a detailed account how God spoke specifically to Noah, why God flooded the earth in judgment and commanded him to build an ark in the middle of desert where which he was living. And how God was telling Noah and his family to get ready, for the day of judgment is at hand. I’m sure people mocked all the way to the day of world wide judgment. Which was the flood then. This is the same thing happening today. The Gospel Message of Salvation and the Holy Word of God is being preached. But many are mocking God and His truth. Calling those things which are coming such as the apocalypse, the end of the world as foolishness. And many continue to rejects Gods warnings which is found in His Word. And as the book of Revelation then concludes. They will continue to do so to the very end, just as Lord Jesus has described. So as people then kept on living for self, in selfish indulgences such as eating and drinking, and marrying without giving second thought to the possibility of judgment from God, the end of the world described there in the Book of Revelation. Is in the same way happening today and that’s what the Lord Jesus was getting at here.

So how do we get ready and stay ready? Our first study in the “Making Disciples” series is: Our priorities getting our priorities straight and aligned with God, is our first step. Until Next time, may God bless you, your families and your friends.
