Rest assured, as Christians trust’s and obeys Jesus Christ, He will protect us from all harm to bring forth His Gospel message as we see here as one of many great examples in Acts chapters 21-23. The devil cannot do anything against a born-again child of Almighty God, who walks under the subjection and anointing of God’s Holy Spirit. Because the devil has to have permission by the Sovereign Lord to do anything he desires to do against the anointed child of the Most High God.

We see this powerful truth in the Book of Job chapters 1-2 as God still testifies today in 1 Corinthians 10:1-13, that the Old Testament was written for our example today how God our Father still operates. And He cannot lie, it’s not in His nature.

This great and powerful revelation should give us the confidence and the boldness to step out in the anointing of fearless faith that the Apostle Paul had, being in the perfect will of God while preaching His Gospel message of redemption, reconciliation and salvation. For the Lord Jesus Christ is our protection,

Psalm 56 Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; fighting all day he oppresses me. My enemies would hound me all day, For there are many who fight against me, O Most High. Whenever I am afraid I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?

All day they twist my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil. They gather together, they hide, they mark my steps, when they lie in wait for my life. Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the people, O God!

You number my wanderings; put my tears into your bottle; Are they not in Your book? When I cry out to You, Then My enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me. In God (I will praise His word), In the LORD (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God; I will render praises to You, For You have delivered my soul from death. Have You not kept my feet from falling, that I may walk before God In the light of the living?

Matthew 10:26-31 Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak into the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him (God our Father and Jesus Christ our judge) who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell (because of rebellion).”

Study Highlights:

*2:42  Acts 21:4-14
The Holy Spirit warns the Apostle Paul not to go to Rome. The Holy Spirit often times warns us not to do certain things or go to certain places because He knows what is going to happen ahead of time, just like He warned Paul. We have a choice to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit or not, and often times we choose our own will over the Lords to our own hurt and misery.

*11:00  Acts 21:17-26
The Holy Spirit also helps us to discern times when we should respect customs in order to keep peace, without compromising who we are in Jesus Christ or compromising our relationship with our Lord. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to teach us His promptings just as He did with the Apostle Paul. This is part of the work of the Holy Spirit. That’s why He is named by the Lord “our Helper” (John 14:26).

*19:30  Acts 22-23:10
Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ will always divide a crowd as we see here, where there arose great dissensions and divisions every time the Apostle Paul spoke. Proof that the Lord Jesus Christ and His Living, Powerful Word stands above all, and He is not the great uniter as the world has perverted Jesus Christ to be. Rather He is the Great divider!

Dividing sheep from goats, truth from lie, the holy from the unholy, the righteous from the perverse, and real believers and followers of Jesus Christ from the counterfeit by the Holy Spirit and truth. Proof that Jesus Christ is above all (Philippians 2:5-11) and He does not coexist, cohabitate or fellowship with darkness at all (2 Corinthians 6:11-18). His Word tells us this fact in:

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the Word of God (John 1:1-14) is Living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thought and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.

And since The Lord Jesus is the Word manifested in flesh, therefore Jesus tells us in Matthew 10:32-38Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.

For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter -in-law against her mother-in-law (to separate believers and followers of Jesus Christ from those who are not);’ “and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ “He who loves father and mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.

*31:58  Acts 23:10-35
The Lord is in control of every situation that’s out of our control to prevent. We can rest in trusting God, that He will not allow harm to befall us as we see here our great example.
