Hebrews 10:35-39 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who draw back to perdition (loss of the soul + loss of salvation= lawlessness), but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.”

James continues to shows us what faith is in action and challenges us to be active in faith like-wise. In the last study, God’s Word revealed to us that faith produces:

Desire for Purity
Self Control
Good Works

Faith not only produces good, righteous and holy living, but it is also the heart, soul and foundation of true Christianity. And if we sit on the Holy Bible and do nothing with it, than we really do not have salvation either, because our faith without works is dead faith. It takes faith to be saved through Jesus Christ (Romans 3;4;5). It takes that same faith to stop sinning.

If your faith is dead, you therefore, do not have salvation. James challenges us to look into the perfect mirror of truth to help us see and take inventory of ourselves, whether we truly know God and are in the faith of Jesus Christ or not. One who has real faith does what God’s Holy Word teaches because faith is the soul of holy living, good and righteous works.

Jesus Christ called us to salvation through His blood. And if we are washed in the blood of Jesus Christ and are born again by God’s Holy Spirit, we are then His earthen vessels, temples of the Holy living God. Having power to make an impact upon this anti-Christ society and world we live among, through power of His Holy Spirit and obedience to God through His Holy Bible.

But our first step is to have the faith of God (the God kind of faith) to live right unto God our Heavenly Father as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God as our reasonable service (Romans 12). And be set apart from the ways and patterns of this fallen, sinful, corrupt world for God Almighty’s use alone.

Not only be hearers of the Word, but be doers of God’s Holy Bible also, because God’s ways is the only way that works and He wants us to be blessed and complete, lacking nothing in Him, equipped for every good work. Faith + the Love of God + Holiness/Good Works = Completeness in Jesus Christ which is the bottom line of the Lord Jesus’ teachings of Matthew 5;6;7 which He sums up in,

Matthew 5:48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Study Highlights:

 *00:02    James 2:1-13
To show partiality (favoritism) is sin! The Lord Jesus Christ saved us (born-again children of God) through His blood by His mercy, therefore we are to be merciful and forgive one another by practicing the Royal Law (the Love Law) from the heart.

Even to a people who slanders, hates and reviles God and His children without cause. Because God will hold us accountable whether we were merciful to our brethren and to His enemies or not (Matthew 5:7/Luke 6:27)

*13:30   James 2:14-26
If we truly know God, We should be living as Jesus Christ has lived on this earth full of faith, holiness and righteousness as God’s true Ambassadors (representatives) through Jesus Christ. Faith + Action proves our belief in Jesus Christ and in His Word. It also proves that we know God, are born of God, love God and abide in Jesus Christ (John 14:15), if we keep His commandments and live according to His holy teachings
