2000 years ago today was Jesus Christ’s Ascension. Where He ascends into Heaven, 40 days after His resurrection in Jerusalem. He not only died on the cross for the remission of sins for many.

And raised from the dead in bodily flesh, to give those who believe salvation. But He also stayed on earth for 40 days after His resurrection, teaching His disciple all Scriptures pertaining to Himself

Acts 1:1-3 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which He was taken up, after that He through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen:

To whom also He shewed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

Luke 24:44-46 And He said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me.

Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

Jesus Christ taught His disciples all things written about Himself in Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.

The Book of Hebrews, the Epistles of James, John and Peter are all reflections of what Jesus Christ showed them in this moment of time in the 40 days after His resurrection. Starting at the mountains of Galilee (Matthew 28:16-20).

Then He appeared to His disciples again another time at the Sea of Galilee, also called Sea of Tiberius (John 21)

We say, ‘Jesus Christ never taught His disciples how to preach, but He did teach them how to pray.’ This is somewhat true. Jesus Christ did teach His disciples how to pray first.

However, we see Jesus showing and teaching His disciple the Gospel, helping them to understand what all He had to do in order bring salvation to those who believe. This is what Jesus Christ taught them in a nut shell

Jesus Christ Is Eternal

Genesis1:1-5 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be Light: and there was Light.

And God saw the Light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

God called Jesus Christ His only begotten Son down from Heaven. He is that Light that suddenly appeared in the Book of Genesis 1:3, which the Apostle John testified about

John 1:1-14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him;

and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through Him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.

But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.

Jesus Christ Is The Son of God

Matthew 1:18-23  Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with Child of the Holy Ghost.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife:

for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins.

Notice here, “for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost” proves the DNA of Christ. The discovery of DNA has revealed to us that the mother provides the physical body while the father provides the blood of the conceived child.

This means that the blood of Christ is literally the blood of God the Father (The Most High God), the One and only true God in all the Heavens, earth and sea and all that is in them.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, literally coursing through the veins of Jesus Christ because He was conceived by the Holy Spirit… God the Father’s Holy Spirit.

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with Child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

This prophesy was spoken forth by God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, revealed to Isaiah hundreds of years prior to Jesus Christ’s birth found in the Book of Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

Also the Holy Spirit testified about Jesus Christ’s birth, life, death and resurrection, Isaiah 9:2 & 6-7 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given:

Given to what? Given to sacrifice for the remission of sins for many, unto those who believe. Which reveals: Jesus Christ’s purpose before He came into the world by the virgin birth, is to save His people from their sins.

In the Old Testament, God reveals, that in order for sins to be atoned for (a temporary fix for the separation that occurred from God because of sin), there must be a blood sacrifice. First revealed in Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

Did God just showed up with coats of skin? No. The Holy Bible shows us He “made” coats of skins right there on the spot. He made a blood sacrifice in the Garden of Eden to atone/cover their nakedness/sins.

He made a covering for sins temporarily, prior to Jesus Christ, where He will wash away sins unto those who believe in Him and repents from sinning with His precious blood of God.

and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end,

upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

God established, by His spoken word, “and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”

This is telling us, He (God Most High) will place His Kingdom and Government upon the shoulders of His only begotten Son; Jesus Christ after His death, which is declaring Jesus Christ’s resurrection. Because God does not give His Government to the dead, only to the living.

Jesus Christ Is The Propitiation

Propitiation: ‘The action of appeasing God; atonement.’
Atonement: ‘reparation of sins.’

All are guilty of sin because of Adam and Eve’s rebellion in the Garden of Eden. And because of them, we are all born with the adamic sin nature. Sin has put all humanity to death, spiritually; separating us from God’ severed our communion-line with God.

This is why Jesus Christ came to earth to be the sacrificial Lamb of God once and for all, to save His people from their sins. To restore our relationship with God. To be the righteousness of God and to reconcile us to God.

1 John 4:9-10 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

About a thousand years prior to Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, the Holy Spirit inspired King David to write Psalms 22:16-18 For dogs have compassed Me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed Me: they pierced My hands and My feet.

I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon Me. They part My garments among them, and cast lots upon My vesture (Matthew 27:28-54).

Isaiah 53 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.

He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not (Matthew 27:20-31).

Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted (Luke 22:60-23:26). But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

The word “healed” is a very interesting word. It means to be completely healed from all sickness and disease, restored and regenerated. Remember what was said in Matthew 1:21, “And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins.

The name Jesus is a Greek name for the Hebrew Yeshua. Yeshua means, “The Lord is Salvation.” The Key word is salvation, and that word have several root words all pointing back to the name Jesus or Yeshua.

Yeshuwah: Deliverance; healing and victory
Yasha: To make free
Teshuwah: Rescue
Yesha: Prosperity (implying mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially)

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a Lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth (Matthew 27:11-14)

He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare His generation? for He was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of My people was He stricken.

And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death (Matthew 27:57-60) because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.

Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief: when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.

He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall My righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities.

Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He hath poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Jesus Christ Is The Fulfillment of The Promised New Covenant

Jeremiah 31:31-37 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which My covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people.

And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

The remission of sins, transgressions and iniquities is only possible through Jesus Christ and that’s what this prophesy points out. God therefore make His next point, His New Covenenant is established and cannot be broken through His next spoken declaration,

Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is His name:

If those ordinances depart from before Me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me for ever.

Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord.

And many other revelations did Jesus Christ teach His disciples for the last 40 days after His resurrection. This is just covering the basics. Now on the 40th day after His resurrection, Jesus appears to His disciples

Mark 16:14-18 Afterward He appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen Him after He was risen.

And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Luke 24:47-49 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Acts 1:4-8 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence (Matthew 3:11). When they therefore were come together, they asked of Him, saying, Lord, wilt Thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And He said unto them,

It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Luke 24:50 And He led them out as far as to Bethany, and He lifted up His hands, and blessed them. Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Acts 1:9-11 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.

Luke 24:52-53 And they worshipped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: Act1:12-26 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet (Mount of Olives), which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.

And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brethren. And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take (Psalm 69:25/Psalm 109:8). Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that He was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of His resurrection. And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two Thou hast chosen, That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

In 10 days from now, Pentecost will be fulfilled as promised by Jesus Christ in the Day of Pentecost
