The Lord Jesus has promised us that the gifts of the Holy Spirit would be in operation in those who are born-again and believe.

Mark 16:15-18 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Our Lord Jesus is the baptizer of the Holy Spirit.

Luke 3:15-16 Now as the people were in expectation, and all reasoned in their hearts about John, whether he was the Christ or not, John (the Baptist) answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water (repentance); but One mightier than I is coming (The Lord Jesus), whose sandal strap I am not worthy to lose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.”

It is His will that we receive the Holy Spirit to be born-again (John 3) and to be sealed for the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30). Not only to help us to live holy and righteously in the Lord successfully (Romans 8:1-17). And not just to lead us and guide us into all truth (John 16:7-15), but also to equip us and empower us to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ effectively, and to set the captives free; mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally!

This is the Lords will! This promise came into fruition starting in the days of the Book of Acts chapters 2 and 4 and is continuing on today. The Lord is no respecter of persons and what He has promised yesterday still applies today because God does not change! (Malachi 3:6) and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday; today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). And He taught that what He did, we can do also today:

John 14:12-17 Most assuredly I say to you he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And what ever you ask in My name, I will do, that the Father maybe glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- “The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither see’s Him nor knows Him; but you know Him for He dwells with you and will be in you.

Why do we need the gifts of the Holy Spirit in operation Today? To effectively draw people to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit spoke this revelation through the Apostle Paul in:

1 Corinthians 1:22 For Jews request a sign (the demonstration of the power of God), and Greeks seek after wisdom (the Word of God); but we preach Christ crucified.

And in: 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

I was with you in weakness, in fear and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

So the demonstration of the power of God opens doors to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are lost, through the demonstration of mercy, love and of salvation from God through signs wonders and miracles to a people that do not deserve it! Jesus taught us this fact in:

Matthew 10:7-8 And as you go, preach saying, ‘The Kingdom of God is at hand’ (preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ). “Heal the sick, cleans the leper, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

This was not a suggestion but a command. And how are we to do this? Before the Lord told His disciples to Go and preach the Gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons and so forth, He gave them power to do so first,

Matthew 10:1 And when He had called His disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean Spirits (demons and sexual immorality of all types), to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of diseases.

And if we are His true disciples, He will also give us this same power from His Holy Spirit. The demonstration of the power of God through Biblical signs, wonders and miracles is the real evidence people can see that God exists. And it is also the way the Holy Spirit testify that the Gospel message of salvation is fact, true and real. And this promise was not only for the 1 Century Christians of yesterday, but is still alive today.

He still wants to use us just like in the days of the Book of Acts, if only we will step out the boat of unbelief and doubt and walk on the living water where our Lord Jesus Christ dwells. He requires us to believe! (Mark 16:17: “And these signs will follow those who believe…”) And then in order to receive this promise, we must simply:

1). Repent! We are the holy temple of the living God and the Holy Spirit will not be given to unclean, unrighteous, sinful temples.

2). Dedicate our bodies, our minds, hearts and soul completely over to Jesus Christ as His temple of the Holy Spirit, instruments of righteousness and holiness (1 Corinthians 6:15-20).

3). Desire the gifts of the Holy Spirit like you desire to breath air to live, is the same way we are to desire and seek the Lord, while living in His perfect will continuously, asking God for the baptism of His Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:31; 14:1).

4).Then be baptized by His Holy Spirit (Luke 11:9-13)

5). Obey the direction of the Lord and the unction of the Holy Spirit always. Walk closely with the Lord like Enoch had walked all the days of life with all our hearts soul, mind and strength.

Psalm 37:3-6 Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

So what are the gifts of the Holy Spirit that the Lord Jesus promised us?

1 Corinthians 12:4-11 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

for to one is given the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings  by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit (Almighty God’s Holy Spirit) works all these things, distributing to each one as He wills.

The Apostle Paul is truly our great example how we are to be today, totally submersed in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and His fire. Totally empowered and consumed by Almighty God’s Holy Spirit. That’s His will. That’s His desire for His Children today. And how we can have this kind of relationship that the Apostle Paul had with God? We have to want it and desire it above all things this world can ever offer, and not settle for anything less nor settle for 2nd rate blessings.

Not allow satanic influences such as entertainments and worldly pleasures of all kinds that hinders and dumbs down our faith rather than raise it up to power and activity. The Holy Spirit is hindered to use us by the worldly things we allow into our lives on a day to day basis. I pray that the Holy Spirit reveals in each of us what is hindering Him from using us like in the days of the Book of Acts.

And when He reveals to us personally what is hindering the Holy Spirit, we need to decide and to make up our minds right now to be obedient. And when we are obedient to lay down all these dumb idols that hinders, then He can use us according to His perfect will. Raise us from the dead spiritually and be alive in Christ. And then impact the world as He endues us with His manifest gifts of His Holy Spirit.

Submission under the authority of Jesus Christ is the key to success (1 Corinthians 6:12-20). “If we continue to feed our faith with the Word of God daily continually, then doubts, fears and unbelief will be starved and will have to die!”

Study Highlights:

*00:21  Acts 18:3
Christians should work hard with our own hands to advance the ministry of Jesus Christ forward. The Apostle Paul is our great example of this instruction to the church, instead of begging for handouts and fleecing the flock etc.

*03:12  Acts 18:4-8
We see the bigger picture as it unfolds about why Almighty God continues to scatter the flock of Jesus Christ by opposition in order for His gospel to spread all over the world. God sends His own Son to the cross; raised from the dead and ascended back into Heaven to reconcile us back to God our Father, both Jews and Gentiles of all those who believe.

*14:27  Acts 19:11-12
The Word of God promises us that we can have the gifts of the Holy Spirit in operation through us to open those doors to preach the Gospel through Biblical signs; wonders; and miracles. If it is in the Word of God, then the Lord will give it if we so desire to have it and seek the LORD and hunger to be used effectively and powerfully by the hand of the Lord for the sole purpose to advance the kingdom of God on earth.

This is what our Lord Jesus meant when He told us this (John 14:12-14). And the Lord Jesus Christ still wants to use His disciples in this way today. Because the way we are presenting the Word of God today is not working. We are going by our own might and strength instead of doing things Gods ways. Also Acts 19:11-12 deals with the warnings of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Any “Christian” who speaks against the Holy Spirit, and the works of the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven (Matthew 12:22-32)

*22:08  Acts 19:13-18
Proof that satan cannot cast out satan. In order to cast out demons as the Lord Jesus has commanded us to do, we have to have the power of His Holy Spirit coupled with the authority of Jesus Christ. We do not have authority within our own selves to do anything as the Lord taught (John 15:1-7). Those who are in Jesus Christ, who are right with God, can be used by the authority of the Lord with the power of His Holy Spirit to cast our demons, raise the dead, heal all kinds of sickness, disease and infirmities.

Look all around you, the harvest field is ripe. Look there’s a lot of people in America who are suffering from all kinds ailments and mental illnesses that can be healed, of those who needs the Lord. It’s time to get right with God, seek the gifts of the Holy Spirit, live under the anointing of God and draw all peoples to the One true hope, the Messiah and Savior: Jesus Christ, through the demonstrations of the power of God and preach the Word. Setting the captives free and proclaim liberty! (Isaiah 61:1-3)

*29:44  Acts 19:23-40
Opposition will rise against true children of faith who has the anointing of God in operation where ever they go. The Holy Spirit is the amazing gift in salvation from God to all born-again children of God. And within His gift are the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23 Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.)

When oppositions comes against us, the Holy Spirit activates these fruits to help us resist the devil. In the carnal realm, the devil uses oppositions to get us to shrink back in fear with his tools of intimidation. The Lord uses opposition to refine us like silver and gold is refined. This spiritual refining raises us up to the next level of faith in Jesus Christ to be even more effective if we press in and move on as we are resisting the devils weapons of warfare, and stare in his face while standing against all adversity.

*35:38  Acts 20:7-11
Raising the dead is another spiritual gift of the Holy Spirit under the “gifts of miracles.” In which the Lord Jesus promised and commanded us to do according to His unction and will. I believe that the will of the Lord to raise the dead is in line of those who died before their time in an accident as we have seen here as an example in these verses of Scripture.

*40:05  Acts 20:19-27
We see first hand here that grace and the power of God was upon the Apostle Paul’s life. And he had the gift of fearless unwavering, unmovable, uncompromising faith, “the gift of faith” that we all can have if we simply ask and believe, we will receive. This gift of faith he had, bound him in the Spirit of God to action and service unto God’s will by choice. Determined to press on in the Lord to the very end of his life as an amazing servant of the Most High God. The secret to the Apostle Paul’s success is found in: Philippians 3.
