Audio Length: 29:23

Opening Scripture: Deuteronomy 10:12-16 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the LORD, and His statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD’s thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and He chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day. Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

You Must Be Born Again

John 3:1-8 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that Thou art a Teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that Thou doest, except God be with Him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus saith unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

In order to receive the Holy Spirit, we must confess and repent from sinning. Because the Holy Spirit will not fill impenitent sinners who never gave their hearts to Jesus Christ completely.

And without being born-again by water (water baptism/public confession and repentance) and the baptism/infilling of the Holy Spirit, no one can enter Heaven.

A gospel being preached today is a “new gospel,” where repentance is not part of the equation. Yet no man, woman or child can be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit without repentance.

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

The wind (Ruach: breath/wind/Spirit) bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”

You Must Have An Active Relationship With God

John 3:11-14 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that We do know, and testify that We have seen; and ye receive not Our witness.

The second fact on salvation is, we must have a continued, active relationship with God. That also means we cannot continue in sin and worldliness of the carnal flesh after Jesus Christ has washed our past sins away through His blood that makes one right (righteous) with God.

So in order to be saved, we must know God personally. Not just by experiences or by feelings. But also to hear Him, and to speak to Him.

“If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up:”

The parallels of the Gospel of the bronze serpent in the wilderness (Numbers 21:1-9) and the Gospel of Jesus Christ was one of the same message sent by God. Jesus Christ was lifted up high on the mountain top of Jerusalem and died on the cross for salvation, deliverance and healing.

And if only people would see this very love of God, the fact and truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the eyes of the Holy Spirit as did the Jews in the wilderness with the bronze serpent, than many would make every effort to be saved and stay saved.

You Must Believe Jesus Christ Is The Savior

John 3:15-18 That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

This “new” Christianity today is proclaiming that a person can be saved if we only believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God alone without good works/living right in the holy standards of God. That’s how we become justified which is the beginning of salvation, but certainly is not the end result.

After being justified we must go on to maturity (perfection) by walking in the Spirit and shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:16), which is living a life without sinning. Faith without works is dead faith. So therefore, living according to the standards of the Holy Bible without fail is living by faith

James 2:17-19 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

This is how faith works: Action + Faith = proves our belief in Jesus Christ. Believing alone is not good enough. We must also live according to God’s holy standards. Trusting and obeying God and His word by our faith.

You Must Live Right According To God’s Righteous And Holy Standards

John 3:19-21 And this is the condemnation (judgment), that light (Jesus Christ/truth/holy living) is come into the world, and men loved darkness (sins/rebellion) rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved (exposed).”

Jesus Christ is the Light of the world and He will expose secret sins, if sins are not repented from. The Lord Jesus Christ is getting us ready for His appearance in the clouds, where Jesus Christ will call His church home.

And He will only gather those who are right with God and ready. And in children of God, there is no darkness in them at all. Not one sin will ever enter heaven.

“But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

Thus, those who are living a penitent and regenerated life in Jesus Christ will make Heaven home
