The Way To Eternal Life

People all over are bound to lies and sins (Christians). Things that people believe and say in this day and hour, its no wonder why the church age in America is in the era of the great apostasy. Many are seeking to enter Heaven but shall not be able, because one thing they lack or stand in their way from receiving eternal life,

Opening Scripture: 2 Peter 1:5-11 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

A lot of people are making their call and election. Answering the call and election. But only few make their call and election sure. Many are like the rich young ruler Jesus Christ dealt with in,

Luke 18:18-23 And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou Me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. Now when Jesus heard these things, He said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow Me. And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

The rich young ruler couldn’t receive eternal life because he couldn’t give up that one thing that stood in the way. Much like so many people today who cant lay down sins or their past identity. While still saying, “I’m a sinner,” “Nobody can live according to the Holy Bible.”

There is no salvation apart from repentance, Roman’s 6:1-7 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His death? Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.

In essence, what people lack is faith. They cannot lay down all sins in order to receive eternal life. This is what stands in their way, denying self, pick up the cross daily, and follow Jesus Christ,

Luke 18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Children have great faith, believing everything Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible says. Children also don’t cuss! Children don’t drink, smoke, fornicate or steal. They don’t look at pornography, they don’t party nor are they undisciplined!

Sinners don’t love Jesus Christ, because they love their sins more than Christ! A drug addict don’t love Jesus Christ! Adulterers do not love Jesus Christ! Drunkards loves their sin more than Jesus Christ!

Homosexuals, fornicators and the selfish love themselves and their sins more than Jesus Christ! They are lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God. Lovers of money (workaholics) love their money and their work more than Jesus Christ!

And anyone who loves sins more than Jesus Christ is dead to Christ and alive to sin. The only eternal security we have is remaining in Christ. There are consequences if we chose not to remains in Christ according to the Holy Bible standards, which is by His terms and conditions

John 15:1-7 I am the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.

If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

The Gospel Jesus Christ preached here, is a road map for Christians to stay right with God and get thy soul ready for eternity. Jesus Christ is not only the Word of Life, but He has and speaks the words of eternal life.

Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh (the world, the flesh {all sins} and the devil), the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire.

Those who do not remain in Jesus Christ will not receive eternal life. Therefore, just as the Holy Bible reveals, we cannot live by our own terms and conditions.

It is impossible to live a double life and enter Heaven! Claiming to know God, love Jesus Christ and continue to live in sin. You cannot serve two masters (both sins and God). You cannot serve both God and mammon! You cannot serve Jesus Christ and the devil!

Revelation 21:5-8;27 And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

This is why we need to make our call and election sure, we cannot afford to presume we are saved, we must know. Eternity is too long to be wrong. So many people today are not ready for eternity… and it can happen suddenly, ready or not.

If you want to be saved, if you are slipping away from Jesus Christ or compromised (great or small), or need to rededicate your heart and life back to Jesus Christ, than you need to take this time to make things right with God now. The Alter is not only a place to get right, but to stay right with God.

How Can You Be Saved?

Romans 10:8-13 The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Confess & Repent Repentance is acknowledging and confession of all your sins to God sincerely from the heart, while turning away from the life of sinning.

It’s not feeling sorry and asking God for forgiveness. Its a full surrendering of your heart, soul, mind and body to Jesus Christ where ever you are at right now. Don’t put it off, remember, life is not guaranteed the next hour.

Believe Believing is active faith. Faith is knowing and hoping without doubting when you ask God to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all sins and unrighteousness, He will.

Call Calling upon the name of the Lord is crying out and asking Jesus Christ to save you. Ask the Father and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to come into your heart and be Lord of your life from this day forward. Ask God to write your name in the Lambs Book of Life. And ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit

Luke 11:9-13 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; Seek, and ye shall find; Knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?
