The Holy Bible spoken by our One true Holy God, illuminating His divine Holy truth by His Holy Spirit, is our plumb-line we must examine ourselves closely by, all the days of our born-again life in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Showing us where we are at and where we should be. Therefore we need to take the Holy Bible seriously in these last days and be conformed more and more to His Word as we walk closer and closer with God.

Yearning ever more increasingly to be molded and fashioned after the image and likeness of Jesus Christ our Lord by His holy hands.

What Christianity Is?

What does the word Christian mean? ‘Born-again children of God through the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ becomes Christ-like. A true representation of Jesus Christ in mind, body and spirit’ as it is written,

Ephesians 5:1 Be followers of God, as dear children.

Jesus Christ taught us what true Christianity is, and the Book of Titus especially, is the reflection of His teachings and what Christianity looks like in action. Because His children not only lives to glorify Jesus Christ as Lord by words only, but in deeds also.

Love: is the crown of all Christian fruits, motives and character of the heart in Jesus Christ. He Himself is our perfect example. We are commanded by God to let the light of love shine forth (Matthew 5:14-16), by praying for our enemies (Matthew 5:43-48), and showing the love of God in providing someone’s need (Titus 3:14).

To be self sacrificing in order to draw people to Jesus Christ, even in life threatening situations that could prolong a life of a sinner to repentance as Jesus Christ did on behalf of us (John 15:13-14).

And by telling someone the truth about Heaven, Hell, the eternal consequences for sinning and salvation of Jesus Christ gently without compromising the truth. Because withholding the truth is hate, and half truth is still a lie.

God loves all humanity by sending His only begotten Son to tell us the full truth first, no matter how much it hurts. He then laid His life down as the Sacrificial Lamb of God for the remission of sins. And to reconcile us back to the Father at the cross of Calvary.

Biblical Health: we are to be an example not just morally, but also as good stewards of the temple of the Holy Spirit (our physical body). For it is commanded in the Old Testament and taught in the New Testament as well.

Both the physical body is connected to the Spiritual body and it is written, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 If any man defiles the temple of God, him shall God destroy; For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are

Holiness: is separation from the unclean, sinful things of the world in order to be used powerfully by God Most High, according to His perfect will. For God will not fill, use nor bless sinful, defiled, unholy, morally dirty people to represent Jesus Christ. It is written,

2 Corinthians 6:16-18 And what agreement has a temple of God with Idols? For you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people,

Therefore come out from among them, (the world of all sins) and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Incorruptible: we are to be deeply rooted and ground in the Lord, His Word and in prayer. Refusing to be controlled or go by the ebb and flow of the sinful world at all cost, whether be by the body, the mind and/or by the spirit of the sinful nature.

Matthew 16:18 Upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

Committed to God: Born-again Christians need to be totally and completely committed to God where self, self will, or selfish ambitions no longer exists, but God who lives in us. Faithful unto the Lord with all our heart, strength, mind and soul.

As John the Baptist was and preached, “He (Jesus Christ) must increase, but I must decrease (John 3:30).” Because we are born-again this way by the Spirit of God who dwells in His children richly.

Christianity Defined In The Holy Bible

Jesus Christ and the Book of Titus challenges our faith daily all throughout our life in Him as He simply defined what Christianity is,

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: .

The Apostle James sums up what true Christianity is in these words, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless (orphans) and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world (James 1:27).”

The Apostle Paul drew the plumb-line of what our relationship with God should be, by the revelation of His Holy Spirit, “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things loss for the Excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:

for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ, and be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His suffering, being conformed to His death (Philippians 3:7-10 ).”

The bottom line is, we have so many great cloud’s of witnesses who have gone before us. And has lain the true foundation of real Christianity, through the inspiration and direction of God our heavenly Father.

And the Book of Titus sums it all up in a nut shell, showing us; if the walk we claim does not line up with Jesus Christ nor the whole Holy Bible, both in church and outside the church, then it’s not Christianity at all.

*02:00   Titus 1:12-2:8
We are to be an example to all the world glorifying Jesus Christ both morally and physically inside and out: In marriage, in our conduct toward one another and being healthier than all the world. And in order to have the energy to do the work of God, we not only need to live right, but also eat right as well.

If we feed our bodies junk food, we will be lazy physically. And since our physical bodies are connected to our spiritual body, we can end up being lazy in the spirit, if we are always tired physically. Because we are feeding and or gorging our bodies with foods that provides no energy, being sickened to death.

This is why God in the Old Testament teaches us in the New Testament, curtain foods we are to abstain from. It has been proven through medical science, the way we eat and what we eat can cause health problems that does not glorify God at all. On the contrary, it puts us into an early grave.

We need to live better than every one else according to the ways and words of our Lord Jesus Christ. And according to His love, not giving anyone a reason to blaspheme and slander God, His children nor His church

*16:35   Titus 2:9-3:11
According to the true original context of this passage of Scripture, it specifically instructs slaves to obey and be well pleasing towards their masters in all conduct worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in an age when slavery were the norm.

Today, we the children of God are compared as to bond servants, slaves to God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ according to His Word. Not as a master and servant relationship, but rather a Father and child relationship with God.

This instruction still applies in the Christian life today unto God our heavenly Father first, and then unto our bosses at work. We are to obey and be well pleasing in all our conduct as a living sacrifice. Honest and not liars.

Godly and not slanderers. Sober, not drunkards. Pure before God and not lawless and defiled. Genuine and not hypocrites. Transparent, anointed and powerful for a holy use in the hands of the living God, not insubordinate.

Living to glorify God! Always watching and ready for the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ. Motivated in the love and mercy of God towards all humanity as He is
