Well I decided to update this site. Today I was reminded that I do have a personal testimony that ministers in volumes. Anyone who has ever been caught in a really bad snow storm and have to go through a steep pass to get home can identify, especially those who have a true relationship with Jesus Christ.
I remember last year, coming home from work, I had a really tough time getting up the pass and almost slid off the cliff. But the Lord got me out, and still struggling to climb the pass, because the snow was wet, and I could barely get any traction. I passed an SUV of some sort who was coming down into Angel Fire, who slid off the road and was on the right side of the road, into on coming traffic facing me. The guy was trying to get out and I wanted to pull over to the side of the road, safely, to help this guy out of this shallow ditch. But the Lord told me audibly “Keep going!” I said, “But Lord that guy needs help.” But the Lord again told me, “Keep going, don’t stop!” And I just kept going.
I made it to the top of the pass and there were a line of cars waiting to go down one by one from the time I passed that SUV. The next day coming into Angel Fire, I saw that SUV still in the same place all dented up really bad. One of my co-workers asked me, “Were you stuck in the accident in the pass last night?” I said, “No” She replied, “It happened in the pass last night at about 5:18. I heard all about it on the scanner. A 15 car pile up.”
Then the Lord quickened me… The reason why He told me to “keep going, Don’t stop!” is because I leave work at 5 o’clock to 5:05. Then I would have started going up the pass, roughly between 5:10 to 5:15 and would be caught in the middle of that 15 car pile up. And that guy with the SUV I saw on the side of the road. His truck at the end of it all, was totaled (beyond recognition) That long line of cars that I passed last night, must have smashed into that SUV.
The point of this true story is: “Be obedient to the Lord, even when it seems contrary to the ways of His love. And use wisdom and discernment in everything, for there are reasons that often times we don’t understand at that particular moment. For the Lord is working behind the scenes to keep you safe!
Psalm 91 (The Message; Simple Text translation.)
“You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in, Shaddai’s, shadow, Say this: “God, you’re my refuge.
I trust in You and I’m safe! “That’s right, He rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards. His huge outstretched arms protect you under them you’re perfectly safe; His arms fend off all harm. Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night, not flying arrows in the day, Not disease that prowls through the darkness, not disaster that erupts at high noon. Even though others succumb all around, drop like flies right and left, no harm will even graze you.
You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance, watch the wicked turn into corpses. Yes, because God’s your refuge, the High God your very own home, Evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. If you stumble, they’ll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling. You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes, and kick young lions and serpents from the path.
“If you’ll hold on to Me for dear life, ” says God,”I’ll get you out of any trouble. I’ll give you the best of careif you’ll only get to know and trust Me. Call Me and I’ll answer, be at your side in bad times; I’ll rescue you, then throw you a party. I’ll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation!” Selah
You can have all this. Why? Because if you make God Almighty, the Most High God your dwelling place, Than these promises are yours, directly from Himself.
