Suicide Is Not The Answer

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free

Suicide is increasing at an alarming rate these days. Statistics show suicide rates increased more than 25% since 1999 according to a 2016 report. That’s 45,000 lives lost to suicide — nearly 15 people for every 100,000 according to the CDC.

America has become a society ran by impulsive people who acts in haste, and disregards truth and consequences. God is very clear how He views suicide and spells out the eternal consequence anyone can understand.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

This passage of Holy Scripture is saying so much here. It tells us our physical bodies was create by God (The Most High) to be a temple of His Holy Spirit. And if any man, meaning: Jews and Gentiles, saint’s and sinner’s defiles His temple, our physical bodies, God will destroy you.

The word “Defile” in the Greek according to the Strong’s Complete Dictionary of Bible Words #5351 phtheiro (fthi’-ro) means: ‘to ruin; to deprave–corrupt (self), defile, destroy.’

And this is the key word in this case, “Destroy” referencing suicide. Comes from the Greek word according to Strong’s Complete Dictionary of Bible Words #622 apóllymi (ap-ol-loo-mee) ‘Violently/completely perish”) implies permanent (absolute) destruction, i.e. to cancel out (remove); to die, with the implication of ruin and destruction (L & N, 1, 23.106); cause to be lost (utterly perish) by experiencing a miserable end.‘

Suicide is literally suffering a miserable end, where the soul becomes utterly lost forever. To kill this body, God will destroy you meaning to condemn the person to the eternal Lake of Fire, there is no excuse.

This also includes doctor assisted suicides which is increasingly becoming popular among the elderly and the terminally ill in America today.

Luke 12:4-5 And I say unto you My friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear Him (God), which after he hath killed hath power to cast into Hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear Him.

Hell is literally translated as the grave (death), and the eternal Lake of Fire in the Holy Bible.

This also is worth noting here, defiling (corrupting) the body includes but not limited to: Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sexual immorality (which causes sexually transmitted diseases), and gluttony.

All of these can bring forth death, and destroy the body. Therefore, as the Holy Bible is warning us, if we do such things, God will destroy us eternally.

Further more, the Book of Revelation also testifies about those who defiles/destroys the physical body, will not enter Heaven as it is written,

Revelation 21:27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

We are born and we live. In life we have our choices to make which determines our eternal destination (Heaven or Hell). And then we die. Birth, salvation in Jesus Christ, and death are on God’s terms and conditions not our own.

Suicide is not the answer to anything, neither is it rational. It’s a guaranteed end to life. Death of the physical body, and the beginning of eternal death in the Lake of Fire called the second death (Revelation 20:14-15).

But, Jesus Christ is the answer and there is no other. Mind altering and prescribed psychotropic drugs won’t cure you! Psychiatry cannot save you. Jesus Christ is the only one who can deliver you from all sins and save you from that demonic depression of suicidal influences (Matthew 1:21-23).

He can fill the void of what is missing in your heart. He can give you a hope, a purpose and a direction if you would surrender all to the Lord Jesus Christ today. Through Jesus Christ is real salvation, peace and joy There is no other way and it’s everlasting, it does not fade away

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I Am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

Jesus Christ died on the cross (Matthew chapters 26-27), raised from the dead (Matthew chapter 28) and ascended back into Heaven (Acts 1:1-11) to give you eternal life through Him as it is written,

1 Timothy 2:3-6 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

And I am here to testify to you today, there are many ways to Hell (suicide being one of many) but there’s only one way to Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

So if you are sensing Jesus Christ knocking on the door of your heart, let Him in, don’t hesitate because the Lord wants to save you and have a real relationship with you today

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

So what are you to do? The first step to receive eternal life, you must believe by faith that Jesus Christ is salvation, the only begotten Son of God who also is your righteous sacrifice for the remission of your sins,

John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Repent of your sins meaning, to literally stop sinning, stop going in the direction you are facing which is the direction of destruction.

Confess sins directly to Jesus Christ for He is our High Priest and Mediator between you and God (Hebrews 10). We can go through an exhaustive list of sins the Holy Bible ministers on specifically, but the greatest sin all humanity are guilty of, is the rejection of Jesus Christ.

And lastly, Romans 10:8-12 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.

This salvation plan Jesus Christ is extending to whosoever wills, is not the end of the journey with the Lord on earth, it is only the beginning. God bless you and have a blessed day. God bless you, your family and your friends
