Hebrews 6:1-3 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits”

Discipleship is a school and the Lord Jesus Christ is our Teacher/Savior. Learning how to walk close with God our Father and learning to walk as the Lord Jesus Christ has walked on this earth in power and pleasing to God His Father, is the first step in living this new life in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Living the Holy Bible are the vital signs of spiritual maturity. The Holy Spirit through the Apostle Peter not only edifies the body of Christ unto spiritual growth and maturity, but He challenges us to.

In the natural, if an infant stops growing at any stage of development, then that is a vital sign there is something wrong. As is also in our spiritual life in Jesus Christ our Lord. If we do not continue to grow from justification to sanctification than these too, are the vital signs that there is something spiritually wrong and amiss. The physical and spiritual are more connected than we realize or want to admit.

The Holy Bible continually challenges us to grow and mature is Christ in progressive sanctification as we learn how to walk in the Holy Spirit and the power thereof at every step we take in obedience to God in Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible helps us to examine ourselves where we are at, where we should be and what we need to be doing at every stage of growth and maturity.

And if we have stopped, the Lord Jesus Christ is there to lead us back onto the path of righteousness for His name sake in His perfect will. If we are not in His perfect will in every step than we are in rebellion, and sin is rebellion.

So where do we start? We start by first laying aside all those things that hinders our growth in God, whether it be sins, attitudes, worldliness, ungodly behaviors that does not glorify Jesus Christ nor His Gospel of Salvation.

Read and study His Word faithfully and allowing God to mold, discipline and teach us His holy ways in order to conform us to the image and likeness of Jesus Christ by His Holy Word, The Holy Bible.

Then learn to apply His commandments, wisdom, faith and instructions to our daily lives. This is all part of growing in Jesus Christ in order to be used powerfully as His ambassadors under His mighty righteous hands.

And lastly, learning to live the victorious life in Jesus Christ: always ready and right with God in order to make Heaven our eternal home. And effectively impact the world over in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Study Highlights:

*00:02   1 Peter 2:1
If you have real Christianity (a close and active relationship with Jesus Christ) you would lay aside all that hinders that closeness with our Lord. Because hindrances will stop His power and authority from moving through you as His instrument of righteousness in the hands of the living God

*01:39  1 Peter 2:2
The physical realm is connected to the spiritual realm. To understand how to mature in the Lord, we become new born babes at salvation (spiritually). We sit and drink the spiritual milk of God’s Word (The Holy Bible). We eventually crawl and then learn how to walk with the Lord as we mature in Jesus Christ. It is all a fundamental process.

But some never learn to walk. They try once or twice and give up. This sounds silly in the natural, but this happens more often then not in the spiritual life of many. Stop and take inventory of your own life in Jesus Christ. If anyone has ears to hear let them hear what Spirit of God is saying

*12:50   1 Peter 2:9-11
Those who know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are a special people chosen by God out of His mercy, plan, desire and purpose that is higher and bigger then us all (John 6:44/Matthew 11:25-27). And since He chose us to be His ambassadors, any hidden darkness He see’s in us still, He will expose it into His marvelous light. He is like a refiners fire as a refiner of silver and gold until we are clean. Because if we are to represent Him as He is, we must be completely pure in His sight

*16:20   1 Peter 2:11
Fleshly desires do war against the soul and the Spirit of God. That’s why the Word here specifically says “Abstain.” And if we are truly born of God, through His Holy Spirit, He has given us power and authority over sins and the desires of the flesh. It is important to learn how sin and temptations work so we will recognize sins and temptation thereof, before it becomes a snare and a trap in our walk in the Lord.

The Holy Bible truly equips us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Word of God is literally our shield and buckler and a lamp unto our feet and light upon our path in the Spirit. It is the very plumb-line of absolute truth

*19:26   1 Peter 2:12-17
We need to learn how to conduct ourselves honorably according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of the cross, in a worthy manner that brings glory and honor to Jesus Christ. In a worthy way that draws attention to Him among the lost who do not know the Lord, by honoring national, state, city, town and village laws as long as it does not violate God’s Word

*33:44   1 Peter 2:18-25
Love, honor, godliness, holiness and servitude are the signatures of true Christianity. Ministries today preach more on leadership and financial prosperity, but has forsaken the life of service to God in serving others. In fact our Lord Jesus came to serve not to be served. Teaching His disciples to walk as He has walked in like manner even as we suffer in righteousness
