The devil will use everything in his arsenal to try to destroy the church and the children of God. And it is our responsibility to protect ourselves with the armor the Lord has given us. Because if we don’t, than we will become a casualty: a dead, compromising, lukewarm, loveless, back-sliding and powerless church.

This is why the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul commands us in Ephesians 6:11, Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil

and that’s no joke! The Christian life is not a game, and satan gambles for keeps. his only mission on earth is to steal, kill and destroy everything of God on earth.

God our Heavenly Father warned all humanity on this very line after He threw satan out of Heaven in the day of rebellion, when the Bright and Morning Star (the Lord Jesus Christ) saw satan fall like lighting (Luke 10:18).

Revelation 12:12-13 & 17 ‘Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! ‘Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.’ ” 

“Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman (the Nation Israel) who gave birth to the male Child (Jesus Christ).”

Verse 17: “And the dragon (the devil) was enraged with the woman (the church), and he went to war with the rest of her offspring (born-again children of God), who kept the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

Christianity is not for the weak or the faint of Heart. We are not only chosen and called by the Lord to be saved and fight against demonic darkness, that will come to try to destroy us personally. But we are also called to stand in the gap on behalf of others, by the power of God.

Therefore, we the born-again living church of Jesus Christ, needs to learn how to use all of the equipment that the Lord has equipped us with, by the Holy Spirit of God. Which are, but not limited to:

Spiritual Weapons
Sword of the Spirit (The Holy Bible)
Persistence
Prayer
Unity of the Spirit of God
Conformity
Obedience

Armor of God
Truth (belt)
Righteousness (breast plate)
Peace (foot armor)
Faith (shield)
Salvation (helmet)
